BRUSH-ON GLAZE WORKSHOP

-  1 day, 3 hours

In this workshop you will learn the following

• You will learn how to glaze your pieces with brush-on glazes, which are glazes that, as the name says, are brushed on with a pensel. These are the absolute easiest and most fun glazes to work with. The downside is that they are also very expensive and time-consuming

​

• You will learn how to play with and mix the glazes in several layers creating beautiful effects

• You will be introduced to "flux", which is special "glaze" that makes other glazes run, and you will also be introduced to glazes containing "crystals" 

• You will briefly be introduced to oxides and how they can be used to color the clay

• We will be using glazes from Amaco and Mayco

It is not a prerequisite that you have taken part in the "Luxury beginners course" or any other of my workshops in order to take part in this glazing course. You are welcome to bring your own bisque fired (forglødede) pieces. BUT before you arrive, you must send me a picture with firing information of the clay you have used. Verbal information when you show up is not enough. 

If you bring your own pieces they may not be bigger than 16 – 17 cm in height and width. Max 2 subjects.

DKK 200 euro ( aprox.1.450 DKK) is paid upon registration

There will be coffee and water during the course. ​

PS. 90% come alone without a friend. We have a good time, everyone talks to everyone.

Conditions:

• I reserve the right to cancel and refund courses if there are too few participants. If you wish to unregister from the course, this must be done no later than 14 days before the course takes place. In case of later cancellation, the amount will not be refunded, regardless of the reason for cancellation. I will always try to help get someone else to take your place, but cannot guarantee it. You also have the right to find another participant to participate in your place. Just notify about new participant.

• Bring your own apron or clothes that can stand getting dirty -  you will get very dirty!

• If lunch is desired, this must be brought by you

• The fired sculpture must be collected on the date specified in the course description. It's always at between 17 - 18 o'clock. The student must bring their own packaging. Individual agreements for picking up the sculpture can not be made. If you cannot collect at the specified time, you can only collect the sculpture when the next group of students picks up their sculptures. Only course participants who come from far away, e.g. Abroad, Jutland or Bornholm, can make special arrangements for picking up the sculpture. 

• Arrival: You can enter the workshop at the earliest, 3 - 5 minutes before startup.
